Israel reached another milestone in the global race for Covid-19 vaccination as a kindergarten teacher from Ramle became the 2 millionths Israeli to receive the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein are on hand at the Ramle clinic to mark the occasion.

“We’ll continue — until the next million,” Netanyahu said cheerfully.

The prime minister says the government is working on the “green passports” for the vaccinated which will exempt them from the measures currently in place to curb the spread.

He boasted that Europe is planning lockdowns into March and April, “but not here.”
