In an ad published on Wednesday morning at the Vizhnitz Yeshivos, the Gabbai of the Rebbe Shlit”a writes on his behalf that even yeshiva students must go and get vaccinated because it is fulfilling the mitzvah of looking after oneself.
An ad signed by the Rebbe’s Gabbai reads, “I went into the Rebbe regarding vaccinations for the students of Viznitz Yeshivos, and the Rebbe expressed his opinion that it is a mitzvah to take the vaccine so as not to harm oneself or others.”
It is also written that the Rebbe “gave his blessing that there would be no harm and that everyone would be healthy in body and soul.”

At the beginning of the month, the Rebbe addressed the issue of the spread of corona during Shalosh Seudos and said that “one should continue to pray before Hashem to revoke the decree.” He also said to continue to say ‘Avinu Malkeinu’ at the end of our daily tefillos.
In his remarks, the Rebbe referred to the issue of vaccines and said that “it is a sacred duty for everyone to get vaccinated against the virus, and everyone should make an effort to do so as soon as possible so as not to be liable for others to catch it.”
