The death toll stands at 3,943, with 34 fatalities yesterday and 10 so far today.

The ministry says 95,581 tests were performed yesterday, with 8.6 percent coming back positive.

Coronavirus czar Nachman Ash tells Channel 12 News that “We’re at peak fatality rate” and says the high number of serious patients is placing a burden on hospitals, but he doesn’t believe they face a risk of being overwhelmed.

On Wednesday, the government will be voting on extending the two-week lockdown further, the Blue & White and Haredi parties are poised to oppose it.
