A month has passed since President Biden took the oath of office; he has held dozens of phone conversations with world leaders, allies, and foes alike.
But with one very notable exception: Israeli prime minister Bibi Netanyahu.
Despite indicating a commitment to the “special relationship” between the US and Isreal the new president has not yet taken the time to call Netanyahu
@POTUS Joe Biden, you have called world leaders from#Canada#Mexico#UK#India#France#Germany#Japan#Australia#SouthKorea#Russia
Might it now be time to call the leader of #Israel, the closest ally of the #US?

The absence of a phone call gives rise to speculation that this is a calculated snub to the prime minister for being a vocal and outspoken supporter of former President Trump, calling him on many occasions “The best president for Israel in US history.”
Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, took to Twitter to urge President Biden to call Netanyahu, and in an apparent trolling attempt, listed the Prime minster’s phone number.
Listing the world leaders the newly elected American leader has already reached out to, Danon rhetorically asks President Biden, “Is it now time to contact the leader of Israel, the closest ally of the US?
Many on Twitter – Israels and Americas alike – expressed embarrassment and criticism over the undiplomatic Tweet.
“Was Danny Danon just having fun by tweeting Netanyahu’s old office number or was it intentional to embarrass Bibi?” wondered orthodox journalist Jacob Kornbluh, suggesting the latter as a more plausible explanation.
