About eighty students of the Hassidic yeshiva ‘Oreita’ had the opportunity to visit at the residence of the Gadol Hador Rabbi Chayim Kanievsky Shlita to mark the occasion of the beginning of the study of the Kiddushin Tractate at the yeshiva.
This unusual opportunity came about on the personal intervention of Rabbi Sholem Ber Sorotzkin, head of Yeshivah Ateret Shlomo, as a gesture to the Oreita yeshiva after his visit to the Yeshivah on Hanukkah.
During the visit, Rabbi Sorotzkin was overtaken by the excellence of the students and a successful study program at the yeshiva, in which the boys complete many Mesechtos (tractates) and are stand for exams individually at their one pace. Rabbi Sorotzkin was very impressed by the tremendous achievements and promised a significant reward to each young man who would complete the Kiddushin Tractate and until the Passover holiday. In addition, he arranged a special visit to the residence of Rabbi Kanyevski who gave his blessing to each student.
