Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered New Hope head Gideon Sa’ar a rotation in which, if Sa’ar joins his government, Netanyahu will be Prime Minister for a year and then Sa’ar will take over, N12 reported Friday.
Netanyahu is struggling to put together a coalition after his bloc failed to secure a majority of 61 seats in the Knesset. As such, he is looking at different, and perhaps unconventional, ways of assembling a coalition in order to continue governing as Prime Minister. Other reports state he has reached out to Ahmed Tibi of the United Arab List for his support in exchange for government ministries, although this has not been verified.
