The ‘Galei Tzhal’ military radio reports today that President Reuven Rivlin was present at a funeral that took place in violation of the guidelines that limit the number of participants on such occasions.
The funeral of the president’s brothers-in-law was held in the period between the second and third lockdowns. His office insists that his participation was in accordance with the guidelines.
According to the report, the president himself was photographed being surrounded by more than 40 people in the mourning tent, way above the allowed number for indoor gatherings.
News 12 reported that associates of President Reuven Rivlin claim that his initial arrival was coordinated in advance and that the event was supposed to take place in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
The family responded to the report saying that they did everything possible to ensure that only the number of people allowed to attend the ceremony should be present and didn’t anticipate the arrival of many people.
